Fort Lauderdale-Hollywood International Airport (FLL) marked its 23rd consecutive month of passenger growth with July 2011 as the busiest July on record. Total traffic for the month was 2,037,607, up 4.4 percent over July of last year.
From January through July, 2011 as compared to the same period of 2010:
· Total traffic was 14,326,451, up 7 percent
· International traffic was 2,251,348, an increase of 10.5 percent
· Domestic passengers totaled 12,075,103, an increase of 6.4 percent
Aviation Director Kent George said, "FLL's 23 months of passenger growth and 7 percent increase over 2010 shows that our model of affordable air service continues to attract travelers to Broward County.”
