Broward County Commissioner Chip LaMarca (District 4) is hosting a Broward County Resource Fair at Westside Park, 445 S.W. Second St. in Deerfield Beach, on Saturday, August 3, from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m. The event is free and open to the public.

Representatives from a variety of County agencies and community resource organizations will be on hand to introduce residents to the vast array of services that are available to help people.

“There are a number of County and community services that are here to help people, but few people know what they are or how to access them. This resource fair will bring these organizations to the community and make it easy for people to find a variety of opportunities such as jobs, better health, housing and assistance for veterans and the elderly,” said Commissioner LaMarca, who is organizing the event.

Organizations such as Workforce One, Family Success, Elderly and Veterans Services, Broward Addiction Recovery Center, Broward – 211, Henderson Behavioral Health, Children’s Diagnostic and Treatment Center and Broward Health. Broward Health will be providing free blood pressure screenings.
